So, we are sitting at dinner a couple of days ago and I'm next to one of our neighbors and good friends on the street we live on Hilton Head (I know, tough, but somebody's gotta be here) and we're chatting about summer camps in our youth and the effects on our lives. She is from New York and one of us mentioned that our camp was on the Delaware River. So. of course, I asked what was the name of her camp.
Her answer was "Oh, you probably never heard of it, it was called Camp Hagan" OMG! When I told her I was at Miller 1959-1963, we both freaked out and then the old stories started. We obviously didn't know each other then, but I thought maybe some Hagan alumni might recognize the name. Janice is Janice Gierer now and a lovely, gregarious, fun loving person, so probably back then she had an outsized personality too.
