Greetings River Camp Alums,
I wanted to bring this fund raising campaign to everyone's attention. Our beloved Camp Miller, Camp Hagan, and Camp Ministerium now only live in our memories, but Bear Creek Camp can still have a positive effect on children and young adults much like our camps did for us. Bear Creek isn't structured like the camps we went to and worked at, but at it's core it still has the same enduring ability to give young people confidence and a sense self and community like our camps on the Delaware. Please consider donating to make a difference in the lives of countless children who will benefit from the independence they will develop at camp.
If we can band together and donate as a group (or groups), perhaps we can raise enough to have a cabin (or cabins) memorialize our Camps Miller, Hagan, and Ministerium. Here is information on the Campaign: http://bearcreekcamp.org/cabins/
If there is interest in banding together on this, I will pledge to donate the first $100 towards either a River Camps donation, or with enough support, a Camp Miller and or Hagan and or Ministerium donation.
Hit me with some feedback and let me know what you think!
Rich

Rich,
As a member of the " Cabins for Camp" steering committee I would like to thank you for putting this announcement and challenge on the site. I never had the privilege of attending camp on the River although my wife started at Miller-Hagan as a youngest junior. We met at BCC as camp staff and have always cherished the lessons and memories of our camp experiences. As I understand it, wall tents were not used much on the River as you all had cabins for shelter so in a way we see things coming full circle. The cabins will be a tremendous benefit to BCC and I am so glad for your support.
Thanks again for helping to keep us all rooted in our history!
Warmest regards,
Kevin Kring
