A little background for the last 35+ years?

I moved to the Boston area after graduating from Munlenberg College in 1964. I have worked as a secondary school English teacher, university administrator, including directing the Boston College Career Center for 20 years, and now, as a part-time outplacement counselor. I attribute my teaching skills, love of the outdoors, and ability to make friends easily to my experience at Camp Hagan.

Sitting around the council fire, singing "Tell Me Why"

    Hi, Marilyn. I'm sure you were my counselor in Senior 1 in 1959 (the first two week session), although the "memory book" I have indicates you attended Wilson College. It was my first year at Hagan and I fell head over heels in love with the place. You were part of the reason I did. I went on through the cabins, became a CIT, a JC, and a cabin counselor for two years. Do you know Kevin Mahoney at BC? He is a long time friend. I agree with your assessment of what the Hagan experience did for you, it did the same for me. One outstanding memory from Sr. 1 that year was the "float" we did for the 4th of July.
