Yes, my father grew up in Collingswood, NJ. That's definitely him that is mentioned in the 1949 Memory Book.
Here's a group photo of the Junior Area staff and campers dated from 1949. I can't believe how great the quality is. Every face is clearly recognizable if you're able to zoom in on it. I downloaded this shot from the Jim Scheib Miller website, so forgive me if you've already seen it.
My father is in the top row, 12th from the right (or 20th counting from the left). He appears to be wearing a lanyard around his neck. Are you in this picture?
